About our caterers
Heel veel soeps - De Verspillingsfabriek
Preparing hearty, nutritious soups while reducing waste? It doesn’t get better than that. At De Verspillingsfabriek, we create flavorful soups and sauces from leftover fresh ingredients sourced from vegetable processors, farmers, and growers. Many of our team members face challenges entering the labor market, but the only labels we use here are the ones placed on the soup packaging.
De Zorgbakkerij / The Care Bakery
Do you already know the special bakers of De Zorgbakkerij? Most have are hearing impairment. They don’t use many words, but they use their hands even more. To communicate and to knead, roll and bake traditional treats. Always with attention and the utmost patience. And of course only the very best ingredients. We bake the world a better place. You can taste that!
We Care Coffee We strive for the best taste, the highest quality, and full traceability—from berry to bean. Our Arabica beans are grown using traditional methods in Colombia and Brazil. Packaging takes place in the Netherlands and is handled by talented individuals who are distanced from the labor market. Coffee tastes even better when it does good.
TrendingTea TrendingTea
Tea was founded in 2016 and is committed to creating a 100% fair tea chain. They removed unnecessary links from the chain and now import real tea leaves directly from farmer cooperatives in Sri Lanka. The company is both a Social Enterprise and Fairtrade certified. Hutten partners with TrendingTea because of their dedication to the environment, biodiversity, social return, and circularity.
Less packaging, more impact Even when reuse isn’t possible—such as at large-scale events like MEWS Unfold 2026—Hutten remains committed to the most sustainable single-use solutions. Our focus: minimal impact, maximum circularity, and smart material choices.
Wherever possible, we use biobased and compostable materials made from renewable resources such as sugarcane, PLA (corn starch), or FSC-certified cardboard. These materials are designed to break down under the right conditions, reducing long-term waste pressure. By choosing monomaterials, we improve recyclability where infrastructure supports it. We also prioritize local European suppliers to minimize transportation emissions and ensure transparency.
A great example: our grease-resistant sheets. Unlike traditional coated papers, these are naturally greaseproof—no plastic, no chemicals—making them easier to recycle or compost. They’re FSC- or PEFC-certified and perfect for serving fries, burgers, or sandwiches. Functional, clean, and eco-friendly.
